We have some awesome indoor activities that the whole family can take part in.
Don’t let a little cold weather dampen your mood; there are still lots of fun and entertaining activities to do around the house with your loved ones, activities that will keep the kids engaged enough to forget about the outside world for a moment.
1) Whip out the board games
Be it Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly, or a casual game of Battleships, board games are known to exercise our brains and increase brain power in developing children. Couple this with a vegetable and meat dish like our delicious Lamb Kidney Pie, and we wouldn’t be surprised if you end up raising the next Albert Einstein.
2) Play hide and seek (and try not to peek)
Children love hide and seek. It is just one of those games that seems to grab them from the get-go, and allows them to create a fantasy story behind their reason for hiding. Are they running from a giant, or are they a secret spy avoiding capture? Who knows, but one thing we do know is that this inclusive game comes standard with laughs, endless giggles and beaming faces all around.
3) Ball games will keep boredom away
Now, we know what you are thinking, ‘’ball games inside, are you crazy?’’ But hear us out, because these balls aren’t the type to rebound off of the wall and shatter a window. No, the balls we are referring to are marbles and ping-pong balls. All that you’ll need are a few of the balls of your choice and a cardboard box with two square holes cut into the front of it. The goal of the game is to roll the balls from across the room into the box’s holes. Whoever gets the most balls in wins.
4) End it all off with a tasty surprise
All of this fun and time spent bonding is bound to make you and your little angels hungry. Be sure to fill up their bellies and serve them up a brain-boosting bowl of Coconut Njahi Curry, or a pleasing plate of Ossobucco Stew. Add a tablespoon or two of our Royco Beef Mchuzi mix to give these dishes a delicious edge that will have your entire family coming back for seconds.
