Feeding Hungry Mouths with Healthy Food

Here are four ways to help your kids (and you!) get through the day in a healthier way. It might seem obvious, but it’s been proven that if children eat healthier meals, their daily concentration span improves, while their happiness levels also go up! Vegetarian recipes are healthy food ideas that are great as school snacks, light treats and veggie lunchbox options. We’ll even show you how to make a meal using leftovers.

HEALTHY SCHOOL SNACKS

Nuts and dried fruit make excellent school snacks for kids. This type of snack helps to keep their energy levels up and enables them to concentrate at school. Naturally sweet options like raisins will be a hit with the whole family, and won’t put a strain on the purse strings!

LIGHT TREATS FOR KIDS

When your little ones are buzzing around the playground, they are using up a lot of energy. As they burn fuel, they also need to refuel at regular intervals, and we understand that making little meals can often be quite a challenge. Tasty, light treats like Honey and Mustard Chicken Fingers  will always go down well.

VEGETARIAN LUNCH BOX

If your family is vegetarian, we also have tons of delicious and easy vegetarian recipes that will nourish your loved ones. A great lunchbox treat that is both filling and tasty is  Potato Salad. Add an apple, a banana, or some sliced carrots and cucumbers for that ‘fresh’ component and you’ve got a healthy lunchbox.

LEFT-OVERS IN LUNCH BOXES

Some dinners make excellent school lunches for kids (and husbands). Knorr Dry Cook-in Sauce chicken dishes are easily transformed into yummy chicken mayo sandwiches, and are satisfying lunchbox meals for little ones who need all of the nourishment that they can get. Your husband will love it too! Give this Thai Style Stir-Fry recipe a go.
