Ingredients

  • 3 bunches of kunde(cowpeas leaves)
  • 2 larger onions
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 Royco Beef Cubes
  • 1/2 tea spoon salt
  • Cooking oil
  • Abalang'a
  • traditional saltor alternatively use bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 cup milk cream

Method

  • Prepare the kunde by plucking the leaves off the stem
  • Wash the vegetables in a bucket full of water 3 times to remove all the mud debris
  • Boil the kunde with 4 spoons of Abalang'a for 30 mins turning it every 10 mins
  • As the kunde is boiling, finely chop the onions and tomatoes
  • Fry the onions in cooking oil(4 spoons) until golden brown,
  • Add tomoatoes to fry until they dissolve, add salt and Royco Beef Cubes
  • Add the kunde and stir it until the tomatoes and onions are properly mixed
  • Add cream and mix it until evenly spread
  • Steam for 3 mins. Your vegies are ready
    close
